On Monday, Feb 22nd, House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) issued a response to what many Republicans have characterized as evidence of the President’s insincerity concerning his calls for bipartisanship. Criticizing the President’s releases of his own Health Care Reform plan (along with rumors of it potentially being attached to the 2011 budget, thereby eliminating the need for a Super-Majority vote in the Senate for approval) on the same week as his televised Bipartisan Summit, Mr. Boehner’s message was clear and concise – Backroom deals and play partisan politics is not the way to achieve the solution the American public seeks….The following is a copy of the House Republican Leader’s statement…

On Wednesday evening President Obama, speaking to a joint session of Congress and the American public, delivered his first ‘State of the Union’ address. As expected the President focused:
Only eleven days after announcing U.S. plans to send a “surge” of new troops to help fight the Taliban and Al Qaeda in Afghanistan, President Obama flew to Oslo, Norway, to accept his Nobel Peace prize. In the week leading up to the event, it was announced that Russia and the United States had tentatively agreed to continue abiding by the current nuclear arms control agreement until a new version could be negotiated and rumors that the President would use the speech to present an “Obama Doctrine” floated amongst the media. Tuesday night President Obama announced his decision to approve a modified version of General McCrystal’s request for additional troops (or a surge) for the War in Afghanistan. During the time leading up to this speech Obama has received a significant amount of criticism for what some have seen as a deliberate delaying of his decision for political reasons.
This week the President, while on his tour of Asia, spoke at a Chinese University. The Administration reportedly requested that the speech be available on the internet and TV throughout China. The Chinese, according to some reports, limited access via TV to one city and blocked internet access across the country. The few transcripts of the speech provided to Chinese citizens were reported to have been edited to remove any items the Communist government felt inappropriate to be read by their people.
Soon after the election, President Obama quickly earned a reputation for what appeared to be an instinctual need to apologize for everything and anything American. His first significant tour abroad, which began with a meeting of the G20 quickly became know by conservatives as the “Obama World Appoligy Tour 2009″ . Starting about the same time TabRight.com discovered a growing number of visitors searching under keywords and keyword phrases such as “Obama apology to japan” – referring to a rumor that President Obama had apologized for the American decision to drop the Atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in an effort to end the Second World War. 
On Tuesday, the day before Veteran’s Day, President Obama spoke at a memorial service at Fort Hood, Tx. Over the past several days Obama has received heavy criticism from the right for his handling of the situation, particularly his decision to provide his first comments at the end of prepared statement which included several rounds of applause by the crowds. By Monday several Congressmen have complained the White House interfered in the release of known information surrounding the case to Congress, possibly with the intention to manipulate the release of the information for the benefit of the President. However even with these allegations, the fact remains… What happen at Fort Hood is of itself, for America, is not and should not be held as a one party issue. National security and the lives of those who protect us should not be allowed to become political.
