While many on the right would love to see the Health Care Debate turn into President Obama’s own Battle for Little Big Horn, with only six months into Obama’s first term this would be highly unlikely and the Administration knows it. True, the window of opportunity for quickly pushing through thousand paged unread bills without causing waves of protests from the voters is close (if not already) over for the most part. But that simply means the rules of the game have changed, not the players.

Despite comments by the President and Democratic members of Congress, most Americans appear to be against the current plans for Health Care Reform. The following is a report by a Fox station in the Green Bay area covering Representative Steve Kagen’s Town Hall Meeting.

With Congress on it’s annual August recess many of it’s members are hosting Town Hall events to answer voter’s questions and attempt to increase support for the Health Care Reform legislation. To date, it has not gone well. Coast to coast Americans have turned out to the events in droves to make their voices heard, ask tough questions and, according to Senator Barabara Boxer reportedly dress suspiciously too well.
The following videos are of outside of Congressman Russ Carnahan’s Town Hall in St. Louis (including the attack on Kenneth Gladney, the special treatment for Union members, how the local media covered the event & an interview with Mr. Gladney on Fox New).

Earlier today President Obama called a press conference to cover a the following three topics: The Iranian Government’s Crackdown, Clean Energy & Health Care Reform. During the conference the President, in reference to the Iranian government crackdown, stated that he “…strongly condemn these unjust actions…” Reaction from Republicans on the statement was reportedly positive but many asked why it took this long for him to state it?
