Unemployment Rates by City – Sept 2008 vs Sept 2009

October Unemployment
The Bureau of Labor Statistics recently released unemployment rates for America’s major metropolitian areas for the month of September. As expected, these rates when compared to September 2008, are higher across the board. The Detroit-Warren-Livonia area experienced the largest increase, a rise of 8.4% or total of 17.3% for the official unemployment rate.
