On May 19th the RNC Chairman, Michael Steele, announced in a speech that “The era of apologizing for Republican mistakes of the past is now officially over.” The speach, warmly received by members of the Republican party, received some coverage by the major media groups but largely disappeared as later in the week both President Obama and former Vice President Cheney presented their own individual speeches focusing on Camp Gitmo, National Security and Enhanced Interrogation Techniques. The coverage disapeared so quickly in fact that TabRight.com was only able to find a single source for video coverage of the speech.
